If you have ever wondered “how do I even get into this field?”, you are not alone! Many of us have felt frustrated that there is no step-by-step guide to help us learn the 'ins & outs' of this specific field of OT and as a result, we stay put and do not move forward. The problem is, our profession as a whole will not become a force to be reckoned with in a corporate space until we make our voices heard. But those that we rely on to teach us how to shout from the rooftops, are few in number and might not always willing to share. We just want some support and guidance and an ability to learn from mistakes they have made so that we might also contribute to the bigger picture and finally get OT recognised as the incredible profession that it is!

So instead, we attend various courses vaguely linked to the subject of voc rehab hoping we might pick up a pearl of wisdom or make a personal connection with someone who might just be willing to mentor us. And of course, we troll the various WhatsApp and Facebook groups grabbing at bits of info if and when it is released, all the while too frightened to ask the questions we actually have, perhaps for fear of being judged.
